ASDA Travel Insurance

Asda Stores Limited, founded in 1949 in Leeds, was first known as Associated Dairies & Farm Stores Limited. It is a leading British supermarket chain, which sells clothing, toys and other general items. It also owns a mobile telephone network, called Asda Mobile. Today there are 346 Asda Supermarkets.

The company became a subsidiary of Wal-Mart, which is one of the world’s largest retailers of consumer items. Its marketing campaigns include the ‘Asda price and rollback’, as well as the slogan ‘That’s Asda price’, which was introduced in the Christmas season of 2007.

In October 2003, the company also launched a new chain of stores named, Asda Living. This included non-edible items like clothing, home electrical goods, toys, home ware, health products and many others. Asda Essentials was launched in 2006, to include branded items, like clothing, accessories, and jewelry.

Asda also has an insurance company that provides various types of insurance coverage; one of the most popular and best known of these is the Asda Travel Insurance. It provides various types of insurance cover, including Single Trip or Annual Multi-Trip cover, Standard cover or Superior cover, European cover or worldwide cover.

Asda travel insurance is popular for a variety of reasons, such as the free insurance cover for children in the family; unlimited medical expenses; written confirmation of cover and baggage cover, which is available with any package as standard. Other benefits are that if the Asda package is bought online customers get discounts of up to 15%; the Asda family insurance package cover includes two adults and up to seven children (ideal for the larger family, whether the children are fostered or adopted). An added bonus of the travel insurance is the optional winter sports cover.

There are many more Asda travel insurance benefits, including a choice of different levels for the clients, European or Worldwide cover; a 24-hour helpline for all clients; scheduled airline failure cover; missed departure cover; hijack cover, catastrophe cover, and additional pet care fees cover.
Clients who take the superior cover package receive even more benefits, like unlimited medical expenses for themselves and their families, as well as travel home if they fall sick or suffer any injuries while they are on holiday.

If clients have paid for insurance but then find that they are unable to travel, due to some reason or another, their costs are recovered. Also, if clients have opted for a superior package and then experience a minor disaster, like losing their passports, tickets or credit cards during their holiday, they will always have the services of an English speaking agent to help them anywhere and at anytime.
